What this room is for
Brief
Overview
This room covers the life being built rather than the job being done. It spans the goals that have been set, the habits meant to get there, the honest look back at each week, and the health that carries all of it. Goals tend to fade when they stay abstract, so much of the work is breaking a large goal into pieces small enough to see and act on. Habits are designed as much as chosen, and whether they hold depends on what happens on the days they are missed. Reflection is the thread through all of it, and it is most needed in the weeks it is most tempting to skip.
Key topics
- Goals: the larger goals and how they break down into steps that can be seen and acted on.
- Habits: the routines meant to move goals forward and what makes them stick.
- Reflection: the honest look back at each week and what it shows.
- Health: the physical and mental wellbeing that carries everything else.
- Protected time: keeping time for goals against everything else that competes for it.
