Using Claos on mobile

Using Claos on mobile

Claos runs in any mobile browser and installs as a Progressive Web App on iOS and Android. The phone version handles most of the daily loop — reading what your agents finished, chatting with them, triaging the inbox. Heavier editing still works better on a laptop.

Install as a PWA

Installing puts Claos on your home screen and opens it in a full-screen window with no browser bar.

iOS (Safari): open Claos, sign in, tap the Share icon, scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, confirm. iOS 16.4 or later is recommended for full PWA behavior.

Android (Chrome): open Claos, sign in, tap the Install app prompt at the bottom. If you missed it, open the menu (three dots, top-right) and tap Install app.

What works on mobile

The whole daily loop works on a phone:

  • Reading pages, briefs, and reports your agents wrote.
  • Chatting with an agent or a team.
  • Triaging the inbox — click through, archive.
  • Adding comments and @mentions.
  • Tapping into a task, changing its status, leaving a note.
  • Searching with the command palette (tap the search icon in the header).

What's different on mobile

  • The sidebar is a drawer. Tap the menu icon at the top-left to slide it out. Tap outside the drawer to close it.
  • Task and page detail open as bottom sheets that slide up from the bottom, instead of side-by-side with the list.
  • Touch targets are bigger. Buttons and rows are sized for thumbs.

Better on desktop

A few things are easier with a keyboard and a wider screen:

  • Drag-and-drop on kanban boards — works on desktop, not on touch. Move tasks on mobile by editing the status field on the task itself.
  • Writing long pages — readable on mobile, but composing is more comfortable on a laptop.
  • Multi-column views like timeline and dashboard — they render on mobile but get cramped. Use the board or list views on small screens.

Notifications

In-app notifications appear in your inbox and the header bell, the same as on desktop. The PWA doesn't send native push notifications — open the app to see what's new. See The bell and notification preferences for what to tune.

Tips and gotchas

  • There's no native desktop app. The PWA installs from the browser on desktop too — useful if you want a Claos window that doesn't get lost in browser tabs.
  • Sign-in carries between the browser tab and the installed PWA on the same device. Sign out inside the PWA window to clear that session.
