Search

Search finds pages, tasks and projects across your workspace, by their titles and by the words inside them.

Opening search

Any of these opens it:

• Cmd K on a Mac, Ctrl K on Windows.
• Cmd Shift F (or Ctrl Shift F), which opens the same search.
• Search near the top of the sidebar.

Before you type

With nothing typed, search shows two lists so you can jump straight back to recent work:

• Recently visited: the pages and projects you opened last. This list is kept in your browser, so it can differ from one device to another.
• Recently edited: the pages and projects that changed most recently in the workspace, whoever changed them.

Searching

Type at least two characters. Search looks through:

• Pages: the title and the text on the page.
• Tasks: the title and the description.
• Projects: the project name and its key.

Results are grouped under Tasks, Pages and Projects, with a count at the top. Each row shows the title, where it lives (the project for a task, the parent pages for a page), who made it, when it was last edited, and a snippet with your words highlighted.

The pane on the right previews whichever result is highlighted, with every place your words appear.

If nothing contains all of your words, search shows results that contain some of them instead, marked Partial match.

Sort with the menu at the top right of the results: Best matches (the default) or Last edited.

Designs, database grids, templates and anything in Trash don't appear in search.

Opening a result

• Enter or a click opens the highlighted result.
• Cmd Enter (Ctrl Enter on Windows) opens it in a new tab.
• Cmd L (Ctrl L) copies a link to it.
• Up and Down arrows move through the list, and Esc closes search.

On a phone

Open the menu and tap Search. The preview pane is hidden; each result shows its context in the row, and a tap opens it.
