Designs: social posts, slides and pages

A design is a visual page in your Knowledge Base: a social post, a set of slides, a one-pager, a letter or a web page. An agent can make one for you from a sentence, and you can change anything on it yourself, the way you would in a design tool.

Getting a design

Ask for one in a chat. Tell Claos or any agent what you need, for example "an Instagram post announcing our spring sale" or "five slides on last quarter's results". The agent makes a first version straight away rather than asking questions first, and says in a line what it assumed. The design appears as a card under the reply and opens in a panel beside the chat.

Start a blank one. In the sidebar, open the + menu beside the Knowledge Base and choose Design, then a size: Social post, Slide, One-pager, Letter, Web page or Web page (mobile). A blank design opens, ready to edit.

From a generated image. An image an agent made in chat has Open in editor, which turns it into a design you can add text and shapes to.

Every design is saved in the Artifacts folder of the Knowledge Base, with a palette icon. Rename it by clicking its name at the top of the page.

Editing on the canvas

A design is made of frames: one per slide, post or page. The frames sit in a strip at the bottom. Click one to work on it, or use the + at the end of the strip, or between two frames, to add another at any size.

  • Select anything by clicking it. A bar appears above the canvas with the controls for that kind of thing: font, size and colour for text; fill, outline, corners and shadow for shapes.
  • The floating bar over a selection has Ask Claos, Duplicate, Bring forward, Send backward, Comment and Delete.
  • The rail on the left has Add (text, shapes, lines, icons and your uploaded images), Frames, Layers, Comments, Notes and Templates.
  • Templates are ready-made social posts, slides and web pages in your brand's colours and fonts. Use one as a starting frame and change what you like.
  • Undo and Redo are at the top, and the usual shortcuts work: Cmd Z, Cmd C and Cmd V, and T, R, C and L to add text, a rectangle, a circle or a line.
  • Zoom with the control at the bottom right, or Cmd plus and minus.

Editing works on a computer. On a phone you can view a design but not change it.

Asking an agent to change it

You don't have to make every change by hand.

  • Comment on an element. Choose Comment, click the headline or the shape you mean, write what you want ("make this smaller and purple"), and choose Send to Claos. The change lands in place a few seconds later.
  • Say it in the chat beside the design, for example "make a version of this for Instagram stories" or "add a slide with the three prices".

Each change an agent makes shows as Edited on the card in the chat, with Undo if you don't like it. History at the top of the design lists every version, and you can restore any of them.

Your brand kit

A brand kit holds your colours, fonts and tone, and every new design follows the active kit. Workspace owners and admins manage kits in Settings, Design Kits: make a kit, then make it the active one. Only one kit is active at a time.

Sharing and exporting

At the top of a design:

  • Share makes a public link. Anyone with it can view the design, without signing in. Turn the link off from the same place.
  • Export downloads the design as PDF, PNG image, PowerPoint (slide per section) or a Handoff bundle (a zip of the files, for a developer or another tool). Each frame becomes a page, an image or a slide.
  • History shows earlier versions.

Who can do what

  • Viewers can open and view designs.
  • Members, admins and owners can make, edit, share and export them.
  • Admins and owners also manage brand kits.
