The affiliate program
The affiliate program is for people who want to recommend Claos to their audience and earn money for it. When someone signs up through your affiliate link and pays for a plan, you earn a commission on their payments.
Affiliates and referrals
Claos has two ways to share it, and they're separate:
- Referrals are for everyone. Share your referral link with a friend and you both get free usage.
- The affiliate program pays a cash commission on what the people you refer spend. You join it separately, and it has its own link, dashboard and payouts.
Current terms
At the time of writing, the program pays:
- 10% of every payment a customer you referred makes, for their first 12 months.
- A sign-up counts as yours for up to 30 days after someone first clicks your link.
- Commission is held for 30 days before it can be paid out.
- Payouts once your balance reaches at least $50.
Terms can change. The affiliates page and the program card in your portal always show the current ones.
Joining
From Claos: go to Settings, Affiliate Portal. Under Become an Affiliate, find the program and click Join. Joining is approved straight away, and your affiliate dashboard opens. (A program that reviews applications shows Apply instead, and you get access once it's approved.)
From the affiliates page: click Join now. If you're signed in, you go to your Affiliate Portal to join. If you don't have an account yet, you sign up first, and you're in the program once you've verified your email.
Joining is free.
Your link
Your Dashboard shows Your Referral Link with a copy button, and buttons to share it on X, LinkedIn or by email. The Links tab has the same link, plus coupon codes for any campaigns you're part of.
Your link ends in your referral code. You can change the code in the portal's Settings tab (3 to 20 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens).
When someone opens your link, Claos remembers it for 30 days. If they sign up in that time and later pay for a plan, the sale is yours.
Commissions
Each payment from someone you referred creates a commission. The Commissions tab lists them, with a date range filter (Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, All time). A commission's status tells you where it is:
- Held: within the 30-day hold period. This protects against refunds.
- Payable: past the hold period and ready to be paid.
- Paid: included in a payout.
- Reversed: cancelled, for example because the payment was refunded.
If a customer gets a refund, the commission on that payment is taken back.
Commissions stop when the customer's 12 months are up, counted from their first payment that earned you a commission.
Your dashboard
The Dashboard shows Clicks, Conversions, Conversion Rate, Total Earned and Pending Payout. Below them, Pending Earnings Breakdown splits what you're owed into Held (in hold period) and Payable (ready), next to the Min. Payout Threshold.
Getting paid
- Open the Settings tab of the portal and add a PayPal Email or a Wise Email, then click Save Changes. You need at least one to be paid.
- Once your payable commissions reach the minimum, they're paid out to that account.
The Payouts tab lists every payout with its date, amount, method and status.
