Referrals

Invite people to Claos with your personal referral link and you both get free usage.

What you get

• Your friend gets $5 of free usage when they sign up with your link and verify their email.
• You get $5 at the same moment.
• You get $25 more if they upgrade to a paid plan.

That's up to $30 for each friend. You can earn rewards for up to 25 referrals, so $750 in total. After that your link still works, and friends still get their $5.

The amounts are in plan dollars: $5 of free usage is as much as $5 of a paid plan gives you.

If a friend cancels their paid plan within 30 days of upgrading, the $25 for that upgrade is taken back. Their row in your list then shows Cancelled.

Finding your link

Go to Settings, Referrals. Under Your referral link you'll see your link, with Copy link beside it.

You can also click Invite friends at the bottom of the sidebar. It opens a window with:

• your link and Copy invitation link
• buttons to share on X, LinkedIn, Facebook and WhatsApp
• Or send an invite by email: type an address and click Send, and we email your friend an invitation with your link

You can send up to ten email invites an hour. You can't send one to your own address or to a disposable inbox.

How a referral counts

1. Your friend opens your link. They're taken to sign up, and the link is remembered.
2. They create an account and verify their email. You both get $5 straight away.
3. If they later upgrade to a paid plan, you get $25.

A referral only counts toward your 25 once your friend has verified their email. The link only works for people who haven't signed up yet.

Tracking your referrals

Settings, Referrals has a Referral progress card:

• Successful referrals: how many of your 25 you've used.
• Free usage earned: the total you've received so far.
• Recent: the people who used your link (their email is partly hidden), with the date and a status: Pending, Signed up, Upgraded or Cancelled.

Once you've reached 25, the sidebar card reads Thanks for sharing and Max referrals earned.

Using your free usage

Referral rewards are added as bonus usage. In Settings, Billing it shows as a second bar under your weekly usage, with how much is left of what you've received.

Bonus usage is spent only after your weekly allowance runs out, and it carries over from week to week instead of resetting. See Plans and pricing for how weekly usage works.
